Full Funding Received For Dex Dixon Trailer Production–Thank You!

July 29, 2011

We are so excited to announce that the Dex Dixon film trailer project that director and writer Steve Coker put up as a Kickstarter project has been fully funded!  A huge thank you to all of you who donated–your generosity is most appreciated!

Now the fun begins, as work proceeds on the trailer.  Some of the funding is going to create a professional recording of KJ’s compositions for use in the trailer and film, and so we are thrilled by this prospect as well!

In case you missed it earlier, here is a link to Steve’s video explaining what the project is about that appeared on Kickstarter.

Thank you again!

Dex Dixon–with score by KJ–in The News, and Help If You Can

July 14, 2011

Oregon writer, director, producer Steve Coker has been hard at work in pre-production for the upcoming feature film Dex Dixon, for which KJ has written the score.  Here is an interview Steve did with KEZI News about the project:

Steve makes mention of this project being on Kickstarter–a website where artists post their projects,  and people can help by donating to projects that they like, for anywhere from $1and up.  Steve is looking to raise $5,000 to fund the production costs involved in making the trailer for the full-length feature, in order to use it to procure funding for the full film.  If you like the project and can help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated.  Here is a link to the Kickstarter page where you can donate:

There is a deadline for meeting this goal, so sooner is better than later if you want to participate.

A Shoutout To KJ For His Work On An Upcoming Film

March 8, 2011

Steve Coker, an Oregon film director and producer, has this to say about the score that KJ has written for Mr. Coker’s latest film project, Dex Dixon:

” KJ McElrath, a very talented composer has been working with Coker to create some stunning songs for our hero and the rest of the cast. Though “Dex Dixon: Paranormal Dick” isn’t strictly a musical, a few well placed songs seemed appropriate. And that isn’t to say that a full scale musical version won’t be created…if I know Mr. Coker, I am sure he has plans up his sleeves…”
