New Poster for KJ’s New Musical

Joe Vecchio just sent us the poster for the new musical that he and KJ have written together, so I thought I’d share:

The name of the show is Maison Ikkoku, which is based on a popular Japanese animated cartoon, or anime, series, and the reading of this romantic comedy in English is being held at the Doubletree Inn in Chicago.  We hope that everyone in the Chicago area can make it–it should be a great first time up on its feet!

A Shoutout To KJ For His Work On An Upcoming Film

Steve Coker, an Oregon film director and producer, has this to say about the score that KJ has written for Mr. Coker’s latest film project, Dex Dixon:

” KJ McElrath, a very talented composer has been working with Coker to create some stunning songs for our hero and the rest of the cast. Though “Dex Dixon: Paranormal Dick” isn’t strictly a musical, a few well placed songs seemed appropriate. And that isn’t to say that a full scale musical version won’t be created…if I know Mr. Coker, I am sure he has plans up his sleeves…”
